Hillcrest’s annual events bring neighbors, businesses and visitors together throughout the year. CityFest
Hillcrest’s signature summer street festival fills the neighborhood with live music, DJs, local vendors, food, art and entertainment. It’s a full day and night celebrating everything that makes Hillcrest vibrant.
Pride Block Party
Celebrate Pride in the heart of San Diego’s LGBTQ+ Cultural District with music, entertainment and community. This energetic gathering helps kick off one of Hillcrest’s most meaningful and colorful weekends of the year.
Taste of Hillcrest
Take a delicious tour through the neighborhood while sampling signature dishes from some of Hillcrest’s favorite restaurants. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover new flavors and find your next local go-to.
Taste ’N’ Tinis
This festive neighborhood experience pairs creative cocktails and seasonal bites with an evening of exploring Hillcrest. Sip, sample and enjoy the holiday spirit at participating local businesses.
Nightmare on Normal Street
Hillcrest’s legendary Halloween tradition brings out elaborate costumes, live entertainment, dancing and plenty of spooky fun. The event is taking a pause this year, but this longtime community favorite will return.
And there’s even more ahead. With the completion of the Pride Promenade, Hillcrest will welcome a growing lineup of smaller community events, neighborhood gatherings and new ways to come together throughout the year.

A few things to know:
Rainy market days and days over 80°F are double-stamp days.
After completing a card, you can start a new one and earn another entry during the same quarter.
Didn’t collect all 10 stamps before the drawing? Your card and existing stamps will carry over to the next quarter.
Lost cards containing stamps cannot be replaced, so please keep yours somewhere safe.

HILLCREST FARMERS MARKET
San Diego’s oldest and largest farmers market is right in your new neighborhood! Spend your Sunday exploring more than 185 vendors, including 30+ local farms, international food, fresh produce, meats, baked goods, pantry favorites, clothing, art and handmade goods. Grab something delicious, listen to live music, meet local growers and makers, and experience one of Hillcrest’s favorite weekly traditions.
The Hillcrest Farmers Market takes place every Sunday from 9 AM–2 PM, rain or shine and on holidays. Come hungry, bring a tote and make the market part of your new Sunday routine!
