CityFest takes place in the heart of Hillcrest and is a huge celebration of community spirit through music, arts, crafts, and food and attracts 150,000+ attendees each year. CityFest will be on August 8, 2010 from 12 noon - 8 p.m. |
ABOUT
On August 9th, 2009 the 25th Annual CityFest took place in which the Hillcrest Business Association hosted a rededication ceremony for the Hillcrest sign. The stilt walker, "The Spirit of Hillcrest," led the lantern procession down Fifth Avenue to the Grand Stage to lead up to the relighting countdown. The sign was relit as fireworks went off and the crowd cheered in celebration. The event featured over 200 unique arts and crafts booths, a food court of cuisines from all over the world, as well as a grand stage with 10+ hours of live music, a spirits beer garden, pool party, mechanical bull rides, and a dunk tank. This year, CityFest will be on August 8, 2010 and will be even better! We look forward to seeing you there.
