Every Tuesday evening many restaurants in the Hillcrest community participate in the Tues Nite Out program offering specials on favorite items. The event runs from 5:00 until close of business, and allows San Diego residents, visitors and business owners alike to have a night out in the Hillcrest on a budget, while bringing business to Hillcrest during a less busy time of the week. The center of Hillcrest is at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and University Avenue, just north of Downtown San Diego, and is a vibrant, diverse, walkable community with something to offer everyone.
